5 lbs. Concord Grape Glaze Cone 10 Reduction (Dry Material)
Description: One of the nicest copper induced purple glazes. The darkest purple glaze we sell. Applied over Black Magic Slip this glaze is deep and brilliant with a variety of purple. (As seen in the image with Tiki Turquoise and Ruby Red glazes). Images of this glaze over white porcelain coming soon.
Mixing: One order of 5 lbs. dry makes about 1 gallon of liquid glaze. Add water and screen 2 times through an 80 mesh screen. 52-54 on the hydrometer.
Application: Dip or spray. This glaze is nice when it has a bit thicker application.
Firing: Cone 10 reduction.
Note 1: If you sprinkle 100 mesh mesquite ash into it you will get bright blue glaze spots where the ash lands on the glaze.
Note 2: Remember to run a few tests before applying any unfamiliar slip or glaze to lots of work. Take notes. Find the correct application for your work with the way your kiln is being fired.
