5 lbs. Amy's Amber Glaze. Cone 10 R (Dry Material)
Description: Like liquid sunshine. This glaze is luscious with a thicker application so it hangs in the design on the surface of your work.
Important Note: This is a "translucent" glaze. Which means it's color will be influenced by the color of the clay body it's on. These images show the glaze on a cone 10 porcelain which is a white clay body. If you put it onto BMix or another less-white clay body it won't be the same, brilliant color.
Mixing: One order equals 5 lbs. of dry glaze. Add water and screen 2 times through an 80 mesh screen. 52-54 on a hydrometer.
Application: Dip or Spray. It's better with a bit thicker application. Stable at cone 10 reduction.
Firing: Cone 10 reduction.
Important Note: Remember to run a few tests before applying any unfamiliar slip or glaze to lots of work. Take notes. Find the correct application for your work with the way your kiln is being fired.
