5 lbs. Sunset Copper Red Glaze. (Over Zach's Black) Cone 10 R (Dry Material)
Description: One of the nicest copper induced red/purple glazes. Applied over Zach's Black Underglaze. This glaze is deep and brilliant with a deep, fuchsia (dark pink) red color. When applied thinner it has more variety to it's color. When it's applied thicker (pooling in ridges) it had a deeper, dark pink/red color. This glaze is not in Tom's glaze book.
Mixing: One order of 5 lbs. dry makes about 1 gallon of liquid glaze. Add water and screen 2 times through an 80 mesh screen. 52-54 on the hydrometer.
Application: Dip or spray. This glaze is nice when it has a bit thicker application. Stable at cone 10 reduction.
Firing: Cone 10 reduction.
Important Note: Remember to run a few tests before applying any unfamiliar slip orglaze to lots of work. Take notes. Find the correct application for your work with the way your kiln is being fired.
