5 lbs. Tiki Turquoise (over Black Magic Slip) Cone 10 Reduction
Description: This Turquoise color happens because of the chemistry that occurs when it's applied Over the Black Magic Slip. This is part of what creates the variety of Turquoise color and texture. Fired to cone 10 reduction.
Mixing: One order equals 5 lbs. of dry glaze. Add water and screen twice thru and 80 mesh screen. Makes approximately 1 gallon of liquid glaze. 52-54 on a hydrometer.
Application: First, apply Black Magic Slip and bisque fire on. (Information on Black Magic Slip is located in the Slips page of this website). I like to dip this glaze. And, it works well when it's sprayed, too. For an added effect: spray in some Ruby Red Glaze into the rim.
Firing: Cone 10 reduction.
