5 lbs. Tiki Turquoise Cone 10 Reduction (Dry Material)
Description: This Turquoise color looks fantastic over Black Magic Slip, or, on it's own. It works well over any cone 10 porcelain or stoneware body. Fired to cone 10 reduction.
Mixing: One order equals 5 lbs. of dry glaze. Add water and screen twice thru and 80 mesh screen. Makes approximately 1 gallon of liquid glaze. 50-52 on a hydrometer.
Application: If you want a black background: first apply Black Magic Slip and bisque fire on. (Information on Black Magic Slip is located in the Slips page of this website). I like to dip this glaze. And, it works well when it's sprayed. For an added effect: spray a copper red glaze into the rim.
Firing: Cone 10 reduction.
Important Note: Remember to run a few tests before applying any unfamiliar slip orglaze to lots of work. Take notes. Find the correct application for your work with the way your kiln is being fired.
