Description: Black Magic Slip on your clay body creates an entirely new pallet of color when you put your glazes over it. We call it "magic" because the edges will show as black, blue or deep green. These images show Tiki Turquoise,Sunset Red, Ruby Red, Multi-White, Concord Grape, Sperry Crack, Diamond Black, Ash Glaze. Works well on lots of different clay bodies.
Application: Works well for decorative brush work, sgraffito, inlay, dipping or spraying. Apply when the clay is wet, leather, or bone dry. We dip and spray Black Magic Slip when it's bone dry. We bisque fire the slip onto the work to cone 08 before applying glaze.
Firing: Cone 6-10 oxidation and reduction.
Important Note: Remember to run a few tests before applying any unfamiliar slip or glaze to lots of work. Take notes. ​Find the correct application for your work with the way your kiln is being fired.
