5 lbs. Riverstone Matt Glaze: Turquoise. Cone 10 Reduction (Dry Material)
Description; This glaze is great on any cone 10 clay body when fired to cone 10 in reduction. The brighter color bowl shows Riverstone Turquoise on a porcelain body over slip decoration. The other image shows Riverstone on a dark stoneware body called Tough Buff. This glaze is considered a sculptural glaze and is best on the outside of functional pottery simple because it will "silver mark".
Mixing: One order equals 5 lbs of dry glaze which makes approximately 1 gallon of liquid glaze. Add water and screen through an 80 mesh screen two times. Works well at 45 - 48 on a hydrometer. If breaks different color where it goes thick to thin.
Application: Dip or Spray.
Firing: Cone 10 reduction.
Important Note: Remember to run a few tests before applying any unfamiliar slip orglaze to lots of work. Take notes. Find the correct application for your work with the way your kiln is being fired.
