Mini-Magic Slip Tool
Design Application: My favorite glazes are the ones that give you a different color or effect where they go thin, medium, and pool thick. By adding a low-relief surface with slip designs to your work you're creating areas for glaze to gather, pool and stretch over a shape. A soft-tipped silicone tool parts the slip gently without digging into the thrown surface below.
The Mini-MagicSlip Tool has a shorter, stiffer, wider profile making a larger separation between your slip divisions.
We apply thick slip to the porcelain right when it's thrown, (after it's been ribbed) so the surface is still wet and the pot and slip will dry at the same time.
You'll want to have thick slip that holds it's shape. Our Magic Porcelain Slip has directions for mixing it thick. It comes to you dry so you can also weigh it out and mix in color stains, etc. Our Black Magic Slip can be applied the same way. These slips works on Coleman Porcelain. So far, they are also sticking to Laguna's BMix.
