5 lbs. Bubble White Glaze Cone 10 Reduction
Description: Bubble White is quickly becoming one of my favorite glazes for cone 10 reduction. It's beautiful by itself and as a liner glaze for functional ware. It's a classic celadon glaze that's more like a "chun" glaze with tiny bubble under the surface of the glaze. This absorbs light and gives the surface a slight glow. This glaze is nice over a carved porcelain. It's also nice over a color slip. In these images it shows how it went lavender over our Blue Slip. And, it has a deep, multi-color like a mood ring over Black Magic Slip. Food safe and stable at cone 10 reduction.
Mixing: Add water and screen twice thru an 80 mesh screen. Works well at 50 on a hydrometer.
Application: Can be dipped or sprayed.
Firing: Cone 10 reduction.
Images: Include Bubble White over Blue Slip (Aerosol) turning this glaze lavender. The bit of red flashing over one of the lavender cups has a bit of Copper Wash (Aerosol) misted into the surface.
