5# 1950's Turquoise Glaze Cone 10 Reduction
Description: A glaze Tom Coleman has used in several ways over the years: Applied over porcelain, and over Black Magic Slip. This glaze is also used as an accent glaze sprayed into other glazes. This Turquoise Glaze is a bit more glassy and smooth in it's turquoise-green color than our Tiki Turquoise. Tiki is also glossy, but with a mottled surface that's a bit more blue in it's turquoise color.
Mixing: Add water and screen twice thru an 80 mesh screen. We recommend 45-48 on a hydrometer. This is when you're applying it to work that's been bisque fired to cone 08. Adjust the thickness of your glaze according to the bisque temperature of your clay body.
Application: Can be dipped or sprayed.
Firing: Cone 10 Reduction.
Special Note: Be sure to test any unfamiliar slip or glaze before applying it to important work.
