5 lbs. Chun Glaze. (Over Amy's Colors) Cone 10 R (Dry Material)
Description: This Chun glaze came from Paul Davis who is a potter living in Australia. He had gotten this formula during his visit to Japan. This glaze is not in Tom's glaze book. It takes other glazes well by spraying or brushing them into this Chun. It also works well over Amy's Color Box of Underglazes.
Mixing: add water and screen twice thru an 80 mesh screen. It tends to settle a bit. You might add a bit of pool acid to help keep it from settling out. Works well at 45 on a hydrometer.
Application: Dip, Spray. Layers well over Amy's Color Box of Slips. And, it works well with other colors sprayed into it.
Firing: Cone 10 reduction.
Images: Porcelain with Chun Glaze and Lavender Yanagihara sprayed into it. Patina Green around the top. There might also be a bit of Sunset Red sprayed into it. The porcelain bowl has Tiki Turquoise with the Chun rolled around it's outer edge. And, over cone 10 Underglazes.
Note: As with any unfamiliar slip or glaze be sure to test before applying onto important work.
