5 lbs. Deco Pink! Cone 10 (Dry Material)
Description: One of the nicest Pink glazes ever created for the cone 10 temperature range. This glaze is the most "pink" in reduction. And, it's a lovely lighter pink fired to cone 10 in oxidation. It looks great applied a medium thickness. Or, if you mix it a bit thinner and apply it over carved work it shows detail and has a shell-like surface. Love it!
Mixing: Add water and screen thru an 80 mesh screen twice. For a medium thickness I would have it at 48 on the hydrometer. For a bit thinner to show carved work I'd have it at 42 on the hydrometer. Creates approximately 1 gallon of liquid glaze.
Application: Dip or spray.
Firing: Cone 10 reduction or Oxidation.
Special Note: works really well in combination with Sperry Crack Glaze. In fact, all of our Deco Colors work well under Sperry Crack. Directions below.
For Sperry CrackApplication: Can be dipped or sprayed. To apply under Sperry Crack: Apply it to work that's been bisque fired to cone 010 (it's still absorbent). Dip or spray Deco Pink onto your work and re-bisque to cone 010. Then, dip or spray Sperry Crack it a good, medium thickness. Fire to cone 10 in an electric kiln or a gas kiln.
