5 lbs. Zach's Black Underglaze. Cone 6-10 (Dry Material)
Description: This works the same as our original Black Magic Slip only better! This black slip can be used on wet, leather hard, bone dry. And, now it can be sprayed or brushed onto bisque ware! Just allow it to dry and apply your favorite glaze.
Mixing: add water and screen twice thru an 80 mesh screen. Works well at 45 on a hydrometer.
Application: If you want to mix it thicker and use it as a thick decorating slip just be sure to apply it to work that's just been thrown and ribbed so it dries with your pot.
Idea: Swirl it onto your work with the white magic slip, or any of the color slips in Amy's Color Box of underglazes.
Firing: From cone 6-10 in an electric kiln or reduction. Putting Zach's Black Slip under Copper Reds and Purples really amps up their color.
