Tom Coleman's Workshop 4 Includes instructions in spraying underglaze. (We like to use Zach's Black Underglaze under glazes like Copper Reds and Purples). Also, Tom is loading a bisque.
In Workshop 4 Tom will be throwing and constructing an Oval Haystack Bottle with a slab bottom. Tom will talk about preparing your porcelain for bisque firing for the best surface for glaze application. Tom will talk about how important your bisque temperature is for the best fit with your glazes.
Workshop 4 Syllabus:
1) Throwing an Oval Haystack Bottle (with a slab bottom).
2) Preparing the Porcelain Surface for bisque.
3) Bisque Temperature and Glaze Fit.
4) Spraying Underglaze Video/ Bisque loading in a gas reduction kiln.
Camera Angles: We have a total of 3 cameras on Tom. Including a zoom, tilt and turn feature. Overhead and closeups of his hands while he's working. Everyone in Tom Coleman's Workshops will have a front row seat to see Tom while he's working.
How to Participate with Zoom: Sign up for a free Zoom account at https://zoom.us/ Please include your name in your Zoom account so we can find you on our screen and identify you easier when you ask Tom questions. Please Mute your end so you can still hear Tom, but we don't hear your audio. This way we won't have feedback and a high whistle sound.
Register here for Tom Coleman's Zoom Workshop 4: This registration places your email address onto our Zoom List. If you register by 6:00 pm PDT the day before you'll receive the Zoom Invitation the night before from Siri@klineglazeservice.com. If you register after this time we'll send out the next round of Zoom invites by 9:30 am the morning of our Zoom.
Instructions to Join: After opening her email scroll down until you see where it's written to "Join Zoom Meeting." Click on the link shown there and follow the prompts. Amy will be admitting people into the workshop. (This might take a few minutes).
Mute for Workshop Sessions: Once you're in Tom's Zoom Workshop please mute your Zoom (bottom left corner of your screen). You'll be able to hear the workshop. This just makes it so we don't hear your location (dogs, bells and whistles).
Questions for Tom: You'll see a button at the bottom of your zoom screen that say's "Chat" You can text Tom a comment or question and Amy will read your question to Tom.
