The Coleman's Workshop 2: Lizards and a Turtleback Casserole (Video)
When you register for our Zoom Workshops you receive a link for the recording for your continued education in Porcelain.
We recommend: having a YouTube account. We have a YouTube Channel so we can send you a private link to our recordings. This way you'll be able to watch the recording no matter what device you're using.
Workshop 2 Elaine shows the next steps in her deep incised/carving process along with adding raised areas to carve (lizards). Tom throws a large casserole with a turtle-back lid. Trims, attaches handles and recesses the top of the lid for the best casserole lid handle placement.
Some of the work Tom and Elaine might be demonstrating during our 6 week series include (Zoom 1: a Tea Pot) Yoyo Jar, Large Lantern, Platter, Vase and Sculptural Forms (thrown, cut and assembled). Tom and Elaine also design work together for Elaine to incise.
During Zooms Elaine Coleman will be drawing and incising her artwork while our Zoom workshop is taking place with Tom Coleman. Multiple camera angles include a camera on Elaine's hands with the main camera on Tom while he teaches advanced techniques on the potters' wheel. Elaine's work is slow-going so we'll visit her progress and talk with her throughout our 90 minute workshop.
