Zooming with The Coleman's Workshop 4 Wednesday 11/18 10 - 11:30 am PDT
When you register for our Zoom Workshops you receive a link for the recording for your continued education in Porcelain. This way you do not need to join us during our live Zoom.
Description: Join Tom and Elaine as they get ready for a show and develop their fine artwork in PORCELAIN. Tom will take you through throwing and constructing forms, and slip decorating.
Workshop 4 includes Tom throwing and sculpted a twisted, lidded jar while Elaine designs, draws and incises the lid of a YoYo Jar. This jar is one of her best selling items as they're used as special, lidded jewelry holders.
Some of the work Tom and Elaine might be demonstrating during our 6 week series include a Tea Pot, Yoyo Jar, Platter, Vase and Sculptural Forms (thrown, cut and assembled). Tom and Elaine also design work together for Elaine to incise.
During Zooms Elaine Coleman will be drawing and incising her artwork while our Zoom workshop is taking place with Tom Coleman. Multiple camera angles include a camera on Elaine's hands with the main camera on Tom while he teaches advanced techniques on the potters' wheel. Elaine's work is slow-going so we'll visit her progress and talk with her throughout our 90 minute workshop.
We recommend: having a YouTube account. We have a YouTube Channel so we can send you a private link to our recordings. This way you'll be able to watch the recording no matter what device you're using.
For Live Zoom: You'll receive a Zoom Invitation the night before from our Zoom Account. This email will be coming from Siri@klineglazeservice.com.
+Please have your sound "Muted." If not - we can all hear you. AND, you end up on the recording for everyone to hear until the end of time (lol). There is a Chat feature with Zoom. Write to us and I read the questions to Tom and Elaine so they can answer on Zoom.
+If you have your Audio On everyone in our community can see you. As the host I've seen some interesting things.. If you happen to see someone doing something "un-social" you can also choose not to watch them. Tom and Elaine and I apologize for anyone doing anything odd.. (I'm laughing-). On that note-
Please try to register the night before our Live Zoom if you want to attend in Live Zoom-time with us. Otherwise, we are busy getting ready for Zoom and it's difficult for us to get you the invitation on the morning of the event.
Recordings: Sometimes the Zoom application has an issue across the internet. It's only happened once. We will still be able to see and hear Tom and Elaine. But, our ability to take questions through Chat stops working. If this happens please Text Me and I'll keep the questions happening with them during Zoom. Keep my cell in your phone to text me your questions: Amy #702-845-1715
