5 lbs. Ocean Blue Bubble Glaze (Dry Material)
Description: Ocean Blue Bubble has is an amazing blue in reduction. This glaze is based off of Tom Coleman's Bubble base from his glaze book. It took about 15 tests to get the blue of this glaze just right. And, it looks great over any of our Black Slips.
Note 1: This fat chun glaze is stable at cone 10 so it can be applied with a decent thickness. This work shows this glaze applied onto Coleman porcelain that was bisque fired to cone 010. The Body and the Bisque Temperature make a big difference on how any glaze goes on and how it comes out of the kiln.
Mixing: add water and screen twice thru an 80 mesh screen. It works well at 45 on a hydrometer.
Application: Dip or Spray. At 45 on the hydrometer we count to 4. As long as it's bisque fired to cone 010.
Firing: Cone 10 reduction.
Note 2: As with any unfamiliar slip or glaze Please Test before you apply it to any important work. All glazing and firing situations are different.
