5# Overglaze Base
Description: add colorants, stains, oxides and carbonates to create lots of different colors to apply over the top of a glaze. This is one of those "potters" applications where you know how to use it from here and it's offered at a better price here on this site than what you'll find elsewhere.
Mixing: add water and screen twice thru an 80 mesh screen.
Application: Thick and into a squirt bottle. Or, thinner and sprayed (or dipped) thin over another glaze.
Firing: Cone 10 reduction and in an electric kiln. This also works great pre-bisque fired onto a clay body and then dipped into Sperry Crack Glaze.
Note: As with any unfamiliar slip, underglaze, glaze or overglaze - always run a few tests before you apply it to important work.
