5# Black Magic Slip Cone 6-10 (Dry Material)
Description: Black Magic Slip is one of our favorite color slips underglazes. This way you can also spray or dip it thin onto bisque ware that's been bisque fired to cone 010 or 08. By the way, if you bisque your work to cone 04 that's too hot. It closes off your clay body. Porcelain bisque to cone 010. B-mix bisque to cone 08. Stoneware try bisque firing to cone 06. Mixing: Add water and screen once thru an 80 mesh screen. Works well at 50 on the hydrometer.
Application: Dip, spray or brush on. Maybe create Magic Slip decoration, allow to dry, then spray on Black Magic Slip or any of our other great color underglazes.
Firing: Cone 6 to cone 10 in electric and gas/propane reduction.
Images: (over Black Magic Slip) Multi-White Glaze, Sunset Purple, Tiki Turquoise, Sperry Crack Glaze, Amy's Ash Glaze, Moonstone Bubble Glaze.
Note: As with any unfamiliar slip or glaze be sure to test on work that isn't important before applying to more.
