5 lbs. Multi-White Glaze. Cone 10 (Dry Material)
Description: This glaze is a glossy pearly-white over porcelain. And, It's great over Amy's Color Box of Underglazes. This glaze creates multiple colors over a colored slip or clay body. This glaze is not available in Tom's glaze book.
Important Note: This is a semi-translucent glaze. Which means it's color will be influenced by the color of the clay body it's on. These images show the glaze on a cone 10 porcelain which is a white clay body. If you put it onto Bmix or another less-white clay body it will give a color related to the clay body it's over.
Mixing: One order equals 5 lbs. of dry glaze. Add water and screen twice thru an 80 mesh screen. Makes approximately 1 gallon of liquid glaze. 50-54 on a hydrometer.
Application: Dip or spray. Its best with a medium/thick application. Stable at cone 10 reduction.
Firing: Cone 10 reduction or oxidation.
Important Note: Remember to run a few tests before applying any unfamiliar slip or glaze to lots of work. Take notes. Find the correct application for your work with the way your kiln is being fired.
