The Background and Beyond: Decorating with Underglaze, Glaze & Over Glaze.
In this workshop Tom Coleman shares his biggest selling glaze technique. People love color! When it's presented on a black background it's even better! This technique of glazing works with lots of different glazes at different temperature ranges. Tom fires this glaze technique at cone 10 in reduction. Tom will share the information about all of the glazes he's using. Some are from his book, some are available at Aardvark and some are available from Kline Glaze Service.
On Wednesday March 10th starting at 10:00 am PST Tom will be showing us how to compose all the layers. Starting with a black underglaze, Diamond Black Glaze, and decorating with multiple glazes and application techniques. Dipping, spraying, and his Pouring Technique.

When you register for our Zoom Workshops you receive a link for the recording for your continued education in Clay. This way you do not need to join us during our live Zoom.
Live Zoom Workshops start at 10:00 am PST. We let people into the meeting at 9:45 am. Tom usually runs overtime until 12 noon PDT. Our Zooms are recorded and the link is sent to you later in the evening after zoom.
NEW "Individual Zoom with You" is an Optional Tutorial Program we decided to include as part of your Zoom Registrations. Our one hour Individual tutorial with Amy is designed to help people with any technical issues on the potters' wheel. Sometimes it's a matter of changing one or two things you're doing on the wheel that can make all the difference in being able to benefit from Tom's workshops. Amy has learned most of Tom's techniques from assisting Tom over the years.
During Live Zooms Multiple camera angles on Tom while he teaches advanced techniques on the potters' wheel. 90 minute workshop. Tom is generous and usually goes for 2 hours.
