Description: Adding texture into all kinds of slips and glazes with obsidian black sand came about as we were working toward adding spots and textures to shino glazes.
Application: Sprinkle onto wet clay pots or into wet slips and glazes. You can also mist the surface with a little water before you sprinkle to make it stick better onto a surface that's already dry.
Firing: We know it melts well in cone 9 and higher.
