Information: This glaze application process has been shown to our participants at Amy Kline's part of our workshop with Tom and Elaine Coleman. It also works as a regular glaze where you mix it up and dip, or spray on.

Note: This is shown on Coleman Porcelain that's only been bisque fired to cone 010. That's 1660 degrees F. Then, this glaze is fired to cone 10 in a electric kiln. If you choose to use it differently - you'll get different results.

Description: This glaze has a light moss-green color with small to medium sized gold spots that form throughout it when it's at a medium thickness (2 sprays into the Crystal Glaze Base).

Mixing Directions: Add water and screen through an 80 mesh screen 2 times. Add water until it's at 40 on the hydrometer.

Application: This glaze can be dipped or sprayed.

Firing: To a soft cone 10/ hard cone 9 in an electric kiln. Program from our Bartlett controller on our Geil 8 cu ft kiln is included in the images. This is NOT a "crystalline" firing program.

What Our Clients Are Saying

"I appreciate being able to continue exploring the techniques Tom Coleman has introduced to me at his workshop. Being able to order the same beautiful slips and glazes has helped me develop my own body of work in high-fire porcelain."
